About Our Board
Lorain County Safe Harbor/Genesis House Board of Directors is a diverse group of community leaders who give their Time, Talent and Treasure to ensure the health and longevity of our organization. Our board meets six times a year and smaller subcommittees will occasionally meet to discuss a particular project or issue. Members are also strongly encourage to attend all Genesis House fundraisers and events. Board members serve a term of three years and are welcome to reapply at the end of their term.

Leadership positions like those on the Board of Directors require that people who serve be willing and able to offer their Time, Talent, and Treasure to Genesis House:
This means that you are willing to commit:

The time to serve in this role by attending board meetings, attending occasional committee meetings in between board meetings, and attending Genesis House events.

The effort to assist the director or other board members in your particular area of expertise.

To financially contribute to the agency in the form of a personal financial donation as well as promotion of agency fundraising events and assisting with securing additional funding opportunities for Genesis House.
