Cyarah was a graduate of Midview High School. Responding to the sound of gunshots, the police found her boyfriend outside their apartment, his hands in the air and a gun on the ground. He told the police he shot his girlfriend. He was found guilty of murder and sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 20.5 years.
