Metra was the mother of two and lived in Elyria. After an argument, her husband ran her car off the road, dragged her out from behind the wheel and stabbed her to death with a kitchen knife. He was charged with aggravated murder, which he pled guilty and received 20 years to life.
A temporary protection order against her husband was in place from a May incident where he injured her with a box cutter and a bat.
